This is a high specification RJ45 ethernet coupler that can be used for ethernet speeds up to 10Gbps (10GBASE-T). It is also backwards compatible to all speeds down to 10Mbps (10BASE-T)
This coupler can be used with our supplied cable sets to create female ethernet receptacles and extension cabling for our switches.
This coupler is suitable for use with CAT5E (and above) cable, up to 10 Gigabit speeds. This coupler has been tested to be compatible with the following types of ethernet.
- 10BASE-T
- 100BASE-T
- 1000BASE-T
- 2.5GBASE-T
- 5GBASE-T
- 10GBASE-T
No more than three couplers should be placed in series with 10GBASE-T (1Gbps). Using more than three will degrade the signal and result the conneciton downgrading to a lower speed (typically 5GBASE-T).
The device consists of an internal PCB, metal shielding, and ABS casing.
