10G Copper SFP Module with just 1.1W
We have built the world's lowest power 10GBASE-T SFP module, which uses only 1.1W of power. This is far lower than the 3-4W from all other 10GBASE-T SFP modules, which make them impractical for use in many embedded systems.
A power draw of only 1.1W minimises wasted power on mobile systems and also drastically reduces heat dissipation, a common problem with normal 10GBASE-T SFP modules.
We designed and built this SFP module from scratch, redesigning the standard type to achieve a level of power draw that wasn't previously possible. While doing this, we were also able to increase the operating temperature and achieve pressure tolerance (for deep sea applications) and MIL-STD-810H qualification for temperature and altitude.
Put simply, this SFP module is designed, from the ground up, to operate specifically in Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) limited applications such as drones, robots and deep sea devices.
Compatibility with other BotBlox Products
SFP-10GLOW-T is a 10G SFP. That means it only works with 10G capable SFP cages.
This means SFP-10GLOW-T is compatible with UbiSwitch the associated baseboard, UbiSwitch BaseBoard.
SFP-10GLOW-T is not compatible with GigaBlox SFP. This is because GigaBlox SFP only supports 1G SFPs.
